Support a Nomad

Testimony of a Previous Nomad:

You know those tiny rubber toys that you put in a glass of water and then somehow two days later it’s the size of your fist? You’re not quite sure how, but in a short amount of time, it’s grown significantly. For me, that’s how tour has been.

I’ve also been shown so much love. My teammates are always lifting me up, and my family and friends remind me how much support I have back home, but it’s the complete strangers I’ve met on the road who have been so inspirational. Their hospitality has shown me how much people care about others. And the screenings always remind me of why I’m on the road for LiNK. Whether I’m amazed by the amount of people who have come out or moved by the emotion of one person who comes up to talk to me after, I get energized every time.

Every nomad expects to go through some sort of change, but it’s not until after tour and all of the crazy experiences that you realize how amazing that change is. Being a nomad is the most demanding, inspiring, and rewarding experience.

I’ve ever had.

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
- Margaret Mead

We hope the following words will encourage you to consider taking the plunge and investing in a life:

Nomads have left the comforts of stability behind to live in a van with complete strangers – all to answer the urgent call of awareness. As former tour representatives ourselves, we can say that a Nomad’s experience is greatly influenced by their amount of financial freedom – allowing them to be fully invested in empowering people to rise up and speak for the oppressed in North Korea.

To live comfortably during training and on the road for 4 months, Nomads on average need $1,500 for food, toiletries, etc. Donating to an individual nomad will help cover these expenses. You can also donate to the general Nomad Internship, which will go toward helping to feed and provide basic necessities for them while they are in training and enhance their experience with unique trips, training sessions and guest speakers.

At LiNK, we strive to develop people of strong character and leadership so that once they leave our doors, they can create their own paths. Thank you for donating and acting with commitment to seeing lives changed.

Sincerely,
LiNK Regional Managers
