10/21 Tips for Grassroots Fundraising - 5PM PST

October's live webcast will feature an exclusive sneak peak into LiNK's 2009 Holiday Campaign and a unique how-to tutorial for running effective fundraisers. Though the Holiday Campaign launches in November, we want to give you, our most dedicated supporters, a head start in kicking it off. As the campaign's goal is to raise funds for our North Korean friends, we thought we'd incorporate ideas and tips on how to run a successful fundraiser. We'll be speaking with Brittany Deyan who raised over $25,000 during her senior year of high school through her Invisible Children Schools for Schools club, Conner Cress who at the age of 16 created the non-profit Dry Tears to fund 12 water projects in four African countries and has spoken at the White House with other young social entrepreneurs, Nicky Yates who mobilized Twitter users all over the world to raise over $250,000 at charity: water, and the LiNK Chapter at James Madison University who is asking each of their school's 16,000 students to donate 25 cents each to bring out one North Korean refugees as part of their "Quarters for Korea" campaign. Whether you're planning a bake sale, benefit concert or something in between, you won't want to miss this webcast.
